

You've got plenty of time to plan out a wonderful vaca. nonetheless, your quickest way there would indeed be a flight from Athes of approx 1 hour -) you can access Turkey via some of the isles in the Dodecannesse like Rhodes, Kos, Samos, Lesbos, Chios. for flights check There are no boats/ferries to Istanbul from Athens. but you can fly to a neighboring isle like Leros and ferry over. you can check ferry schedules to get an idea on timings at The isle has no airport.

you'd need to check for either bus or train to Istanbul from there though since you're close(r) enough -) and places mentioned are scattered all over the map -) Philippi is up North in Macedonia region close to Kavala. if even for Greece, you've got way too much on you plate. This is a trip for my daughters graduation and we want to make it special. for air and hotel its around 11000 with insurance through delta vacations. can someone please help me navigate this?Ī tour is very expensive for 7 people, we are looking at 16000 plus for a tour without air. we are going next june so if we need to change hotels around in the two countries we have time and will not lose any money. We have 2 adults and 5 kids with us, ages 18,13,10,7, and 5. i dont know if we can take day trips to the places in greece and make it back to athens at night, or if we should change our hotels around in greece, which is possible. I dont know how to get from greece to istanbul, lol. I want to go to turkey to see the blue mosque, antioch,and several sights in ephesus. also seeing mykons, and santorini would be nice. We want to see corinth, athens, philippe, patmos, and crete. i have my hotel in central athens for 5 nights and istanbul which i know is in turkey, for 4 nights.
